| ZAGREB, Croatia - 20th April - in the northwestern parts of the Croatian began burning traditional bonfires to mark the Day of St. George. Bonfires are centuries-old tradition in this country. In Samobor near Zagreb bonfire in the night of 20 and 21 April was accompanied by the sound of drums. Folk custom bonfire on St. George's Day dates back to pagan times. |
