Black- winged Stilt parent and it's chick resting by the water's edge in the Lara wetlands, Queensland, Central Australia. It was lovely to sit and observe these stately looking birds. With very long red legs they seem to enjoy resting on one leg most times. The parent keeps a lookout while it's chick is sleeping.
