| Poecile atricapillus. The Black Capped Chickadee. North American songbird. Nonmigratory. The state bird of Massachusetts and Maine. This little bird is looking up, most likely at another bird that would like a chance at some black oiled sunflower seeds. It`s song is a two note clear whistle. The second note is lower than the first. Black, white and pale rusty coloring makes this a very cute bird. It lives in forests but is happy to travel to your bird feeders. |
