| Bhutanese women are praying with prayer wheel and prayer beads at the Memorial Chorten, Thimphu, Bhutan. The Memorial Chorten was conceived by Thinley Norbu, according to the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Bhuddism. It was erected in 1974 in memory of Jigme Dorji Wanchuck, 3rd Druk Gyalpo, who had died in 1972. It is the most visible religious landmark in Bhutan. |
