The Jaureguia tower is located in the Berganza neighborhood of the village of Baranbio, belonging to the municipal district of Amurrio, province of Araba, at the confluence of the Altube and Bergantza rivers. It is the most important architectural work of Baranbio. The present building, constructed on the medieval tower, is of principles of century XVII, when the owner of then, Hortuño of Ugarte Martínez de Iturriaga, was invested in 1625 with the habit of Santiago. The tower has three floors separated by lines of imposta composed of ashlars without highlighting. The factory is masonry with ashlar masonry in the bays and corners. The access on the South facade is a half-point arch with large voussoirs.
