The Bengal tiger (scientific name: Panthera tigris) is a subspecies of tiger belonging to the feline and leopard family, also known as the designated subspecies. The wild male Bengal tiger weighs 160-270 kilograms, second only to the Northeast tiger in size. This species has a majestic physique, strong and tall. Round head, wide kiss, big eyes, with mane on cheeks. The shoulders, chest, abdomen, and buttocks are all narrow and flattened. Strong limbs, extremely sharp canine teeth and claws. Long beard on the lips. Long tail, strong and powerful. The fur of an adult Bengal tiger is brown and white with black stripes.
