The park is located across from the Kapetan-Mišino building, the seat of the Rectorate of the University of Belgrade, while on the other side it leads to the building of the former Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Significant archeological remains were found at this location, both objects for everyday use and sculptures, but also Roman baths dating from the 2nd and 3rd centuries. The site is buried. Beograd is the capital and most populated city of the Republic of Serbia and the economic, cultural and educational center of the country. The city lies at the confluence of the Sava and the Danube, where the Pannonian Plain joins the Balkan Peninsula. Belgrade is the administrative center of the City of Belgrade, a special territorial unit with its own local government. It is the fourth most populous country in Southeast Europe after Istanbul, Athens and Bucharest.
