The Belém Tower, also known as the Tower of St. Vincent, is a 16th-century fortress located in the Belém district of Lisbon, Portugal. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the most important examples of Manueline architecture in the country. The tower was built to guard the entrance of the port of Lisbon and served as a ceremonial gateway to the city. It features a mix of Gothic and Renaissance architectural styles, with intricate carvings and sculptures decorating the façade. Visitors can climb to the top of the tower for panoramic views of the city and the river. It`s a popular tourist spot in Lisbon.
