| Platax teira - Batfish can be found in groups near open sea locations, often round shipwrecks and buoy lines. Some species are more regularly spotted solitary or in pairs. Found in the Indo pacific region to Australia and NZ and also found in the red sea. Popular Fish as it is very curious. Batfish feed on algae or plankton, depending on the species. Large bodies that can grow up to 35cm - 65cm. Unfortuantely they are fished quite heavily. |
