Wethern portal of Basilica de San Vicente, in Avila Spain. nThe western front has five archivolts on which is placed an eaves with figures of men and women in strange attitudes. The tympanum is divided into two parts, with representations of scenes from the life of Lazarus. The mullion is occupied by the figure of Christ, standing at the sides ten apostles, arranged by couples in an attitude of conversation, except those of the interior jambs, which look towards the mullion. This cover is compared with the Portico de la Gloria because of its many similarities. It is attributed to Giral Fruchal, the architect who introduced the Gothic style in Spain from France.n
