| Fall in the Cumberland Gap National and Historic Park. This is the old Brush Mountain Schoolhouse located in the Hensley Settlement area of the park. This one room schoolhouse served this isolated community from 1908-1947 when the last of its inhabitants walked off the mountain for good. It had no electricity or running water and this old wood burning stove was the only source of heat in the winter months. |
