The Lotus Temple in Yangbaoshan Scenic Area of Guiding County, Guizhou Province, was built by Master Baiyun, the Revival Master of Yangbaoshan, in the 18th year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty. From the Ming to the Qing Dynasties, it was one of the three major Buddhist mountains in southwestern China, on par with Mount Emei in Sichuan and Jizu Mountain in Yunnan. Through successive renovations and expansions over generations, it has developed into a grand scale. The famous traveler Xu Xiake of the Ming Dynasty once stayed and conducted research here. It is now a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit in Guizhou Province. The Heavenly King Hall of Yangbaoshan Lotus Temple.
