Time Capsule 100 from 1973-74, by Andy Warhol, shows but a miniscule portion of mixed archival mater amounting to 100,000 individual items in a number of boxes. Several boxes of the items were on display at the Whitney Museum of American Art at the largest retrospective of the work of Andy Warhol in nearly 30 years, entitled: Andy Warhol---From A to B and Back Again.  The show opened on November 12, 2018 and closed on March 31, 2019.  This photo was taken on March 29, 2019 in New York City.  Warhol was born and raised in Pittsburgh, later moving to New York, where his career as an artist exploded and produced many of his works at his Manhattan studio called the Factory.  Warhol explored the visualist movement of Pop Art.  His work ranged from Modern Art to Naiive Art, Abstract Expressionism.  His impact was keenly aware of the burgeoning celebrity culture and art used for advertising.  He devised the silkscreen printing technique, which took photographic imagery and printed it directly on canvasses, often employing duplicate images on one or more large panels.  He was also a director, producer, and filmmaker.
