There is one absolutely great place in the southern Moscow suburbs. It`s manor Dubrovitsy near Podolsk. The jewel of this manor is the Church of the Holy virgin. The Church of Holy virgin in Dubrovitsy manor is one of the most extraordinary monuments of Church architecture of XVIIÃ¢â¬âXVIII centuries. The Church is famous for unique architecture, unusual for Russian architecture, as well as its mysterious history. We do know neither the author of this masterpiece, nor masters who worked here. With confidence we can say only that on the creation of the Church in Dubrovitsy worked both the foreign and Russian masters. The Church was built by the order of Prince Boris Golitsyn of white stone. It`s situated on a high hill at the confluence of the Desna and Pakhra rivers.
