| Alcala del Jucar is located to the Northeast of the province of Albacete, where the Jucar river leaves Castilla La Mancha. The village is a narrow peninsula surrounded by the Jucar river. Alcala del Jucar has an ancient Arabic fortress, but when King Alfonso VIII conquered the Jucar area around 1.213, it passed into Christian hands. The 18th century bridge crosses the Jucar river. |
