| The Almaraz bridge, also been known as Albalat bridge, is located in the Spanish province of Caceres. The bridge crosses the Tagus River, in the Extremadura in the interior of the Iberian Peninsula. The construction began at the end of the 15th century and its erection would be completed in the 16th. It has two unequal eyes and was destroyed during the War of Independence. The bridge would not be restored until 1845. |
