| Pico do Arieiro is located in the hills of Funchal, and is a must visit attraction, as it allows you to have a view over much of the island and Porto Santo if the weather allows it. Here you can see from the east end, the tip of São Lourenço, to the Paul da Serra and the mountains of São Vicente. You can also see the Curral das Freiras, on the valley floor. Pico do Arieiro is one of the most visited places on the island, due to its easy access, extraordinary views and well known nature paths to Pico das Torres and Pico Ruivo. |
