The town of San MartÃn de Moreda is located inside the municipality of Vega de Espinareda, along with the other towns of Sésamo, Valle de Finolledo, San Pedro de Olleros, El Espino, Burbia, Moreda, Villar de Otero, Espinareda, Penoselo and La Bustarga.The municipality of Vega de Espinareda is located in the western area of ??the Castilian province of León, more specifically in the beautiful region of El Bierzo, at one end of the Ancares Natural Reserve.Although the origins of the town of San MartÃn de Moreda seem to date back to the 11th century, sites of Celtic forts have been found in the area as well as remains of Roman constructions, now buried underground.
